Ty Curtis LMSW is passionate about helping men, women, and couples remove the mental and emotional barriers holding them back from leading more successful and fulfilling lives.
He is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who has been practicing social work in Traverse City since 2007. In that time, Ty has gained experience working with a diverse range of people including adults struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, addiction, personality disorders and schizophrenia, men who have experienced violence and trauma, and families coping with a loved one diagnosed with a severe mental illness like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. He has worked with individuals, provided group therapy and psychoeducation, and supervised social work staff as well as Undergraduate and Graduate school social work internship students. Ty holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, and a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University.
Ty is a Traverse City native. He and his wife have four fantastic children – 3 daughters and a son. Ty enjoys running and triathlon, as well as singing and musical theater.
